Great Starting Points on the Crusades

 

In our print collection:

·        The best way to begin your search is to figure out keywords that may lead you to the specific information you need.  Use some of the keywords listed below are examples when searching the Internet or our online catalog:

·         Crusades or Medieval Civilization or Knights and Knighthood

·         Be sure to read the list of books we have in our collection.

·         Look in the stacks for books cataloged under 940.1 for Crusades.  Don’t forget to check the reference aisle for these same call numbers beginning with R or RS or RB.

  • Check the general encyclopedias (i.e. World Book, Compton’s, and others) by first using the index (usually found in the last volume).
