Hours and Student Visitation
The Media Center is open during the school year on Mondays through Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Fridays until 3:45 p.m. Students are welcome to visit the Media Center by showing their I.D. card upon signing in at the Circulation Desk. Passes are required during class periods.
Checkout Policy for Students
Students may check out up to three non-reference books for a period of two weeks. More than three books may be checked out if research is being conducted on a topic. Renewals will be granted upon request. Overdue fines for non-reference books will be charged five cents for each day beyond the due date. Most reference books may be checked out for overnight use only. Some reference books, such as reference sets, may not leave the Media Center. Students are held responsible to the safe return of all materials checked out on their current and valid I.D. card. If any materials are damaged or lost, the replacement costs and any late charges will be levied and check out privileges will be suspended. Students are to take care of all debts promptly to the Media Center to avoid suspended privileges and any action from the Deans' Office.

Collaborative Planning
It is recommended that teachers meet with the Media Center Director at least two days prior to a class visit so that materials may be gathered to assist students with their assignment. Faculty members may also choose to use as a guide the "Collaborative Planning Sheet" to share with the Media Center Director prior to a class visit. This will foster a clear understanding of what resources will be needed and what the student expectations are during a class visit to the Media Center.
