College Application Process
Apply early and adhere to deadlines.
Make sure application is neat and complete. Do not forget to sign your application.
Make sure all documents are included: application, transcript, personal statement, essay, letters of recommendation, and application fee or application fee waiver.
If you apply online don’t forget to request your counselor send your transcript.
When requesting your counselor mail your application, make sure you provide a stamped envelope addressed to the appropriate school.
Apply to at least 3 colleges / universities.
Apply for financial assistance by completing the FAFSA form. The application will become available in November, however you man not submit your application until January 1, applying online is much more efficient.
Please keep your counselor informed of all correspondence: acceptance, decline, pending or on the waiting list.
Once you’re made your decision remember to make that known to the admissions office by May 1st.
Again, remember to adhere to all deadlines, which may include room and board guidelines.
