Our Philosophy

It is expected that students will make decisions which will result in exemplary school conduct and that they will not demonstrate behaviors which cause disruption to the educational process and/or be in violation of the law. It is recognized, however, that young people do make mistakes in judgment regarding their behavior. In order to help students in their decision making, we are listing below some of the consequences for the more serious mistakes in judgments regarding their behavior. The subsequent statements apply to behaviors occurring on school premises, riding school buses, at school-sponsored activities, wherever located, or off school grounds, or while in direct route from school to home as well as home to school, that would interfere with the school’s educational process and a safe school environment. Discipline procedures may be modified for special education students and section 504 eligible students when the student’s behavior is a direct result of the student’s disability.
