Greetings,

The 2010–2011 school year is underway, with lots of positive occurrences!  The freshmen class of 2014 had a very productive first day of school on August 16th, as the Rich Central Band welcomed them into the school!  Student Council representatives provided key points for a successful school year, and the Freshman Academy staff distributed T-Shirts and high expectations for the year.  The culminating assembly was well-received by all!

August 17, 2010 marked opening day for the sophomores, juniors and seniors!  As the administrative team greeted each student at the front door, it was refreshing to note that everyone appeared happy and ready to start the new school year.  Our enrollment of 1400+ students suggests that we are ready to “Start out the Way We Can Hold Out,” for the school year.

We look forward to working closely with our students and parents, and we encourage parents to join our PTSO, as well as other activities/athletics’ booster clubs.  We need parents to add their strength to ours, as we reinforce the importance of being in school, being on time, and academically performing to the best of their abilities!  We need to remind students that the successes they achieve this school year will follow them throughout their lives.

Let’s join forces in ensuring that our kids are well-prepared for the future!

I look forward to meeting with you at Open House on Wednesday, September 2nd, at 6:00 pm.  You’ll have an opportunity to walk in your son/daughter’s shoes, as you follow an abbreviated class schedule.  See you then.
